The waist sizes are shown in ranges because the waist band is elastic and will stretch. If you are in between sizes, go a size down if you want the pants to be more fitted. Go a size up in you want the pants to fit more loose and baggy.

How to measure:

Waist: Start at the top of your hip bone, then bring the tape measure all the way around your body, level with your belly button. Make sure it's not too tight and that it's straight, even at the back. Don't hold your breath while measuring.

Alternatively, pick out a pair of pants you like the fit of and lay it flat on the ground. Measure the waist band of the pants and then double the measurement. That should be a good estimate of your waist size.

Hip: Wrap a tape measurer around your bottom to the front of your body. Measure from the point where your bottom is the fullest.

Alternatively, pick out a pair of pants you like the fit of and lay it flat on the ground, facing down. Measure across the back pockets of the pants and then double the measurement. That should be a good estimate of your hip size.

Inseam (Length): Pick out a pair of pants you like the length of and lay it flat on the ground. Measure from the crotch area to the bottom of the leg. That should be a good estimate of your preferred inseam.
